Dubrovnik, also known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic,” is a city in southern Croatia with a rich history and impressive architectural heritage. The old town of Dubrovnik, surrounded by medieval walls, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The walls, built between the 12th and 17th centuries, offer spectacular views of the sea and the city. Within the walls are numerous historic buildings, including the cathedral, the Rector’s Palace, and a Franciscan monastery with one of the oldest pharmacies in Europe. The city has been an important trade and maritime center for centuries, and its rich history is evident in every corner.
